OXFORD DIECAST
Finally after a few false starts we can add Oxford Diecast to Our Range. This was one of the brands we picked up at Nurnberg. Over the coming Days/weeks we will be receiving our first orders, I will add the stock to our website as it arrives in. The Oxford range is vast but we plan to eventually stock everything.
We will have regular orders arriving in so if you want any specific model just drop us a mail, info@idmodels.ie
The first models to arrive in will be their 1/76 Haulage range . There are a lot of new releases expected during the year, with some Irish models, I will add them to the site as they are released. They retail at €19.95, which is fantastic value for such a detailed well made model.

Nurnberg Report, variuos Brands.
First off was Lion Toys who manufacture our Trucks Of Ireland Range We have decided to start stocking their standard range which will be up on the website in the coming weeks. As always Lion Toys are making improvements to their casting/detail and adding new Trucks to the range. The quality of printing on some of their latest models is fantastic, We look forward to seeing our latest model the Seabridge Scania R420 which is arriving in March. We also hope to announce the next Model in our range within the next few weeks. Below you can see our Shamrock Logistics Model displayed on their stand....they only show the best!
Next on the hit list was sunstar, They have some great models arriving in 2009. The ever popular VW Camper 1/12th will have 3 new livery's, The photo below being the funkiest of the lot!
They will also have a new 1/12th VW beetle in black, very impressive looking as you can see from my (yet again) bad photo....
Next was Neo Models. these are a range of models made by a company called replicars. they are very limited and are made from resin. The doors or bonnet don't open as it is resin but the quality of the casting and interior more than makes up for that. We stock some of their 1/43rd range but will soon start stocking their 1/18 range. these models are not cheap, they will retail at about €185.00 but they are more than worth it. They also sell out, a lot of the range we were looking at in Nurnburg was already sold out!
So that's most of my report for moment, I have more to put up but need to finalise a few things first. As I mentioned earlier we do have new ranges in the pipeline (some very different from our current ranges) hopefully I'll be able to post some information soon...
Nurnberg Report...Universal Hobbies
I also spotted these 2 trucks, both looked the part. First one is the pescarolo livery, sorry about the bad photo but it was in a cabinet on a badly lit stand, and was taken with my phone!
And the second was husqvarna livery truck....
Outside of these models I am not sure what UH have planned for 2009...As I find out I'll post it up here.
Nurnberg Report...Autoart
They had the elusive Bugatti Veyron 1/12 on display, this was the model that stood out for me at the 2008 show but despite begging and pleading I was unable to get any during 2008, hopefully they will come into stock in 2009. Think they may be a little cheaper than last year because of the exchange rate.
The also had the Porsche 911 GT3RS 1/12th on display. No information on availability but hopefully sometime in 2009.
<BR>
There was a Aston Martin DBR9 in gulf colours, this is going to make a great addition to the ever popular DBR9 range. Looked great in the Gulf colours, probably my favourite so far.
As always with Autoart I'm sure there will be plenty of new models out during the year. I have a shipment of new stock arriving in next week, so check the website to see what arrives in!
Nurnberg Report...Schuco
We went onto the schuco stand for a chat and a look around....always a lovely stand, they have a huge selection of models that look fantastic on display.
The model which stood out the most for me is the new 1/18 porsche Truck. We were looking at the prototype which was a little rough around the edges, but even this was impressive. It will have a driver, and a detailed interior, which a 1/18th car can fit into.
Not sure of a release date yet but will be some time in 2009. Prices are expectd to be around €390.00.
There was so much on the stand that I cant put photos of everything up, as always they have some lovely fire trucks coming out, Alll of which we will be bringing into stock. Also there are some new additions to the 1/32nd scale farming range. As more information comes I'll post it up on the blog!

Nurnberg Report...CMC, Bling Bling.
We met with CMC on the Thursday to have a chat and see what is in the pipeline during the year, there are a few models due for release during 2009.
As always CMC had a fantastic stand, the items that stood out the most were the 1/12th Horch with a polished copper finish (C-005), really fantastic looking. It will be limited to only 200 pieces.
First to be released will be the Audi Front 225 Roadster 1935. this models is made up of 1600 single parts, will be limited edition of 4000 pieces and will be avaiable in 3 colours. It is being produced to celerbrate 100 years of Audi. We saw some finished models and they were excellent. They should be released at april/May. I will put it up on the website soon for pre-orders.
The 1/18 1958 Ferrari Testarossa is due for release in 2009, but no date has been fixed, they are also working on a 1/12th scale Ferrari Dino 156F1 which may be out this year. It will be limited to 500 pieces and will retail about €2500.....Expensive but knowing CMC it will be worth every penny. There will also be 2 new Ferrari 250GT/ SWB Berlinetta, they will be both competition versions. The model comes with a silver coloured finish with light blue racing stripes.
M0-79 will be the winner of the 1961 24 hour le mans, starting number 14 and will be limited to 7000 pieces. The second will M0-77 which will be the standard unlimited version.
They are also working on a Merc 300 SLR coupe gullwing, also due in 2009. I have no photos of the Gulwing yet but will hopefully have more information in the near future. As I get release dates for these models I will put them up on the website http://www.idmodels.ie/ for pre-order.
And a small bit of good news, there will be no price increases from CMC this year....
Made it back!
Well I made it back despite snow, delays, long queues and basic chaos in the airports.
The show is the largest Toy Fair in the world, Although it was a little smaller this year than previous years, there was still plenty to 'oodle' at.
We had a successful show, have arranged a few new lines for the website, I cant reveal all at the moment but as the new ranges are confirmed I'll put the information up here.
I did get to look meet with our regular suppliers and managed to take a few (bad) photos) Over the next few days I'll add them to the blog....so keep checking back!
After looking at thousands of models I only managed to com back with one (see below), It is a limited edition IXO Subaru, only 350 made and was only given out at the show.....think this one will go into my personal collection.
